Your Focus:
As a KP you’re the backbone of the kitchen and will need to support the head and sous chefs by ensuring that all cleaning jobs are carried out in an efficient manner to a high standard. You also need to make sure that all company procedures and policies are followed to create a safe working environment for yourself, other staff and customers. Are you ready to get busy?
Roles and Responsibilities:
Collect and wash up pots, pans, crockery and cutlery
Ensure basic cleaning jobs are carried out as quickly as possible
Work efficiently to ensure equipment and/or utensils are available
during busy periods
Use quieter periods to carry out other cleaning tasks
Clean food preparation areas and equipment
Assist in unloading food and equipment deliveries
Keep the storeroom organised
Keep work surfaces, walls and floors cleaned and sanitised
Support kitchen staff by taking on food prep tasks if needed
Maintain high cleaning standards
Only use provided equipment and approved cleaning products
Follow all company procedures and policies as laid out
in the handbook provided
Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
Ensures all Health and Safety and Food Safety records and training
are accurate and always up to date.
Work as a team to ensure everyone maintains quality
and have the same high standards
Listen and take on feedback
Maintain personal knowledge by completing in-house training,
online eLearning, workbooks and off-job courses.
