Your Focus:

As a KP you’re the backbone of the kitchen and will need to support the head and sous chefs by ensuring that all cleaning jobs are carried out in an efficient manner to a high standard. You also need to make sure that all company procedures and policies are followed to create a safe working environment for yourself, other staff and customers. Are you ready to get busy?

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Collect and wash up pots, pans, crockery and cutlery

  • Ensure basic cleaning jobs are carried out as quickly as possible

  • Work efficiently to ensure equipment and/or utensils are available

    during busy periods

  • Use quieter periods to carry out other cleaning tasks

  • Clean food preparation areas and equipment

  • Assist in unloading food and equipment deliveries

  • Keep the storeroom organised

  • Keep work surfaces, walls and floors cleaned and sanitised

  • Support kitchen staff by taking on food prep tasks if needed

  • Maintain high cleaning standards

  • Only use provided equipment and approved cleaning products

  • Follow all company procedures and policies as laid out

    in the handbook provided

  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards

  • Ensures all Health and Safety and Food Safety records and training

    are accurate and always up to date.

  • Work as a team to ensure everyone maintains quality

    and have the same high standards

  • Listen and take on feedback

  • Maintain personal knowledge by completing in-house training,

    online eLearning, workbooks and off-job courses.
